We are in a Missionary area. The local people belong to all major Religions. We are surrounded by lot protestant groups. Lot of missionary activity is called for. Christians under our care are very poor and only Evening, when they come back from agricultural field work, can we get them for any prayer and Mass. The priority is formation of young candidates who come seeking admission to the Monastery. Monks belong to different states and speak different languages. One has to learn English to communicate with others. People are very religious and pious. In our state of Andhra Pradesh only 2% are Catholics. So, there is a need for Inter-religious and Ecumenical dialogue.
